Ingredients
Scale
Cinnamon Roll Bake
- 1 package (8 count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Glaze
- Included icing from cinnamon rolls (or optional additional glaze made from 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the cinnamon roll mixture.
- Prepare Cinnamon Rolls: Unroll the cinnamon rolls into pieces and cut them into halves or quarters to create bite-sized chunks for the bake.
- Mix Filling and Spices: In a large mixing bowl, combine the apple pie filling with ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir to evenly distribute the spices throughout the filling.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the cinnamon roll pieces into the bowl with the apple pie filling and gently mix to coat the rolls with the spiced apple mixture.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly. Pour the cinnamon roll and apple mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through and the edges are golden and bubbly.
- Add Glaze: Remove the bake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Drizzle the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls over the warm bake. If desired, prepare and drizzle additional glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for extra sweetness.
- Serve: Cut into portions and serve warm for a comforting and delicious treat.
