Description

Strawberry Fluff Salad is a light and creamy dessert salad that combines the fruity flavors of fresh strawberries, crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows with a luscious blend of strawberry gelatin, instant vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. Perfectly chilled, it delivers a refreshing, sweet, and fluffy texture that’s ideal for summer gatherings or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Base

  • 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O Mix (1 box)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ cup cold water

Pudding & Whipped Topping

  • 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix (1 box)
  • 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip) (1 tub)

Fruits and Mix-ins

  • 24 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled, halved, and sliced
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows (1 bag)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Jell-O in hot water: In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jell-O mix completely in 1 cup of hot water by stirring until fully dissolved.
  2. Add cold water and chill: Stir in ½ cup of cold water, then place the bowl in the refrigerator to chill for about 30 minutes, or until the mixture becomes slightly thickened.
  3. Mix in pudding and chill again: Once the gelatin mixture has thickened, add the instant vanilla pudding mix and stir thoroughly until combined. Chill in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to allow the pudding to soften and meld with the gelatin.
  4. Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the chilled mixture until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined, creating a fluffy texture.
  5. Add strawberries, pineapple, and marshmallows: Carefully fold in the fresh strawberries, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows until they are evenly distributed throughout the fluffy mixture.
  6. Chill for 2 hours: Transfer the completed salad to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to firm up to the perfect consistency.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Spoon the chilled Strawberry Fluff Salad into individual bowls or onto a serving platter and serve chilled for a refreshing dessert.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries to enhance flavor and sweetness.
  • Make sure to drain the crushed pineapple well to avoid excess liquid that could make the salad watery.
  • You can substitute sugar-free gelatin and pudding for a lower sugar version suited for diabetics, but adjust sweetness as needed.
  • This salad is best served within 24 hours of preparation to maintain freshness and texture.
  • Leftovers should be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
