For the Coffee and Creamer

  • 2 cups Nespresso coffee
  • 1/2 cup half & half cream (10%)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes
  • 2 candy canes (for garnish)

For the Whipped Cream

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (35%)
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract


Instructions

  1. Brew Coffee: Brew 2 cups of Nespresso coffee using your machine and keep it hot for serving.
  2. Heat Cream: In a small saucepan, heat the half & half cream over medium heat until bubbles appear around the edges, indicating it’s hot but not boiling.
  3. Melt Marshmallows: Add mini marshmallows to the hot cream and whisk continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add Peppermint Extract: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract into the melted marshmallow cream and then remove the saucepan from heat.
  5. Whip Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy whipping cream until it starts to thicken slightly.
  6. Add Sugar and Peppermint: Add the icing sugar and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to the cream and continue whipping until it reaches your desired fluffy consistency.
  7. Combine Coffee and Creamer: Pour the peppermint marshmallow creamer mixture into the hot coffee and stir gently.
  8. Top with Whipped Cream: Spoon or pipe the peppermint whipped cream on top of the latte for a rich, creamy finish.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the whipped cream and add a whole candy cane on the side or into the cup for an extra festive touch. Serve immediately.
