Ingredients
Scale
Marinade & Chicken
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Wrap Assembly
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise or garlic sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Marinate the Chicken: Coat the chicken breasts thoroughly with the marinade. Let them rest for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Preheat the Grill: Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat until hot and ready for cooking.
- Grill the Chicken: Place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes per side, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safe consumption. The chicken should have grill marks and be cooked through.
- Rest and Slice: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes to retain juices. Then, slice it into thin strips for wrapping.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay each flour tortilla flat and spread a small amount of mayonnaise or garlic sauce in the center. Layer shredded lettuce, grilled chicken slices, cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, red onion slices, and shredded cheese on top.
- Roll and Serve: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly to form a wrap. Slice in half if desired and serve immediately while the chicken is warm.
Notes
- For an extra burst of flavor and crispy texture, lightly toast the assembled wraps in a skillet for one minute on each side.
- Try swapping mayonnaise or garlic sauce with a yogurt garlic sauce or tzatziki for a fresher, tangier alternative.
