Ingredients
Scale
Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steak
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 8-10 oz each), at room temperature
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Shrimp
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure a perfect sear on both steak and shrimp.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Set aside to infuse flavors.
- Season the Steaks: Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper. Lightly brush each side with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance grill marks.
- Season the Shrimp: Season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and pepper. Brush lightly with olive oil as well.
- Grill Meat and Shrimp: Place steaks and shrimp on the preheated grill. Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or adjust to your preference. Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: In the final minutes of grilling, generously brush both the steaks and shrimp with the prepared garlic butter mixture, flipping once to coat evenly.
- Rest and Serve: Remove steaks and shrimp from grill and transfer to a serving platter. Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes to retain juices.
- Drizzle and Garnish: Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the sliced steaks and shrimp. Garnish with extra fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
- Serve Hot: Enjoy your flavorful Garlic Butter Grilled Steak and Shrimp immediately while hot and juicy.
Notes
- Resting the steak after grilling allows the juices to redistribute, yielding a juicier bite.
- Adjust cooking times based on the thickness of your steak and size of shrimp.
- Use fresh garlic and lemon juice for the best flavor in the garlic butter.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
- You can substitute ribeye or sirloin with your preferred steak cut.
