Description

Fresh and Creamy Coconut Punch is a refreshing tropical drink made with fresh coconut flesh, coconut water, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk. This creamy, naturally sweet concoction perfectly balances rich dairy flavors with the light, refreshing essence of fresh coconut. Served chilled over ice, it’s an ideal beverage for warm days or as a delightful treat anytime you crave a taste of the tropics.

Ingredients

Scale

Coconut Ingredients

  • Flesh of 1 medium fresh coconut, chopped
  • 1 cup coconut water (from the fresh coconut)

Dairy and Flavorings

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional Ingredients

  • 8 cups cold water
  • Ice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coconut: Start by carefully cracking open the fresh coconut and draining the coconut water into a bowl. Then remove the coconut flesh from the shell and chop it into small pieces for easier blending.
  2. Blend the Base: Add the chopped coconut flesh and the reserved coconut water to a blender. Pour in the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and about half of the cold water. Blend these ingredients until the mixture becomes very smooth and creamy.
  3. Strain for Smoothness (Optional): For an extra silky texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing gently to extract all the liquid. If you prefer some coconut pulp for texture, you may skip this step or retain some pulp in the drink.
  4. Adjust and Chill: Add the remaining cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine. Taste the punch and adjust the consistency by adding more water if desired. Refrigerate the punch until thoroughly chilled.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled coconut punch over the ice. Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh creamy flavor at its best.

Notes

  • Using fresh coconut water and flesh enhances the tropical authenticity and creaminess of this punch.
  • Straining is optional depending on your texture preference; some like the drink with a bit of pulp.
  • You can adjust sweetness by altering the amount of condensed milk used.
  • This drink should be consumed fresh but can be stored refrigerated for up to 2 days.
  • For a vegan version, substitute the condensed and evaporated milk with plant-based alternatives.
