Filling
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Base Layer: Press one can of crescent roll dough evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish to form the base layer.
- Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Carefully spread this cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll dough layer.
- Add Top Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and layer it gently over the cream cheese filling, covering it completely.
- Add Topping: Drizzle the melted unsalted butter evenly over the top crescent dough layer. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, then sprinkle this cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool & Serve: Allow the casserole to cool slightly before cutting. Serve warm for a soft texture or chilled for a firmer slice. Enjoy your delicious Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole!
