Description

These BLT Chicken Sliders with Honey Mustard Bliss combine juicy blackened chicken, crispy bacon, fresh veggies, and a tangy honey mustard sauce on soft Hawaiian buns. Ready in just 30 minutes, they make a perfect appetizer or casual meal that’s bursting with flavor and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken & Seasoning

  • 1 pound Chicken Tenders (boneless chicken breasts or thighs also work)
  • 2 tablespoons Blackened Seasoning (pre-made or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil (olive or avocado oil)

Buns & Spread

  • 12 pieces Hawaiian Slider Buns (or dinner rolls)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (softened for easy spreading)
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley (chopped)

Sauce & Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Golden Mustard (or regular honey mustard)
  • 8 slices Bacon (pre-cooked strips save time)
  • 4 slices Colby Jack Cheese (or any mild cheese)
  • 1 cup Lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 1/2 cup Red Onion (optional)
  • 1 cup Roma Tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes)

Instructions

  1. Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken tenders with blackened seasoning and oil. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors fully.
  2. Cook Chicken: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken tenders for approximately 3 minutes on each side until they are fully cooked through and develop a nice char.
  3. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with chopped parsley and minced garlic. Slightly melt this mixture to make it easy to spread on the buns.
  4. Toast Buns: Slice the Hawaiian slider buns in half. Place them cut side up under a broiler and toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the buns. Place the cooked chicken tenders on top, drizzle with honey mustard sauce, and add a slice of Colby Jack cheese.
  6. Finish Sliders: Spread the garlic butter mixture on the top halves of the buns and broil the assembled sliders until the cheese melts and is bubbly. Then, add the bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions on top. Drizzle any remaining honey mustard on the toppings.
  7. Serve: Place the buttered top buns onto the sliders. Slice each slider in half for easy eating and serve warm to enjoy the blend of flavors and textures.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • Using pre-cooked bacon saves time without sacrificing flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of blackened seasoning to your preferred spice level.
  • Keep a close eye while broiling the buns to prevent burning.
  • You can swap Hawaiian buns with dinner rolls or slider buns of your choice.
